Flow Control
Located at the north edge of Geumnamro Park, this folly introduces a concept of organic coexistence among the park, sidewalk and underpass shopping areas. Alejandro Zaera-Polo proposes to deconstruct vertical and horizontal barriers between the park and Geumnamro crossing so as to integrate the site with the park. His idea for organically connected and integrated space is also being associated with a taegeuk mark, which expresses the image of the living history and memory of Gwangju.
