View Folly View Folly is located in the proximity of the newly opened Asia Culture Center. Designed as an observatory, the folly will be specially built to overlook the media art installations and scenery related to Gwangju. View Folly itself will be created as a special photo zone. The key participants include Architect Moon, Hoon, famous for his playful cartoon-like designs and realities:united, Jan Edler & Tim Edler, a media-artist group from Germany known for its project, Media Skin for the Kunsthaus Graz in Graz, Austria |
We do remember waiting in line for the lift to take us to the top of the tower,
only to be excited by the breathtaking view for a very short moment – and being bored right after.
Climbing the steps covered in stripes of void and colors gives off some mystery to the ordinary.
Once at the top, advertising becomes art– we rotate the columns and change the colours, but CHANGE remains.
We discover a psychedelic space of depth and directiontowards the existing follies and the Mudeung Mountain.
Finally, we sit on the stepped deck, enjoying the views onto the mountain.
We will return for this serenity.
